Expert Baking Tips
- This cobbler works great with either fresh or frozen berries. If using frozen, I like to put them in a bowl and thaw in the fridge for a few hours so they start to soften without getting totally mushy and soft.
- This is a go-to for me when needing to make something gluten free. Just use gluten free flour and nothing else is a concern.
- My favorite combo of berries to use for this is blueberries, blackberries and raspberries.
FAQ
Yes, just bake in a 9x13 pan and add about 5-7 minutes to your baking time.
This is used as a thickening agent to help the cobbler firm up and support the topping.
Storing & Freezing
This mixed berry cobbler can be stored in an airtight container for 3-4 days at room temperature, or in the fridge. The top will soften a bit overtime, but the taste will remain just as good.
You can freeze any remaining cobbler in an airtight container to enjoy for a future treat. Just make sure you allow it to come to room temperature before re-serving. Just rewarm in the microwave to make it taste extra fresh again.

It was amazing and easy to make!!! Made the crumble gluten free for Thanksgiving and it was all eaten. So I made it again on Saturday because we were sad there weren’t any leftovers.

Wow this is delicious! I’m planning to serve this dessert to new in-laws next weekend so thought I should do a trial run today. It’s amazing and will be enjoyed by everyone for sure!
I baked it for 45 minutes and the top wasn’t golden at that point so I broiled at 500 for about a minute. Next time I’ll probably reduce the baking time to 43 or 44 minutes and then broil. Thank you so much for this recipe! The tapioca gives and amazing crunch, love it!

Wow! I have never liked cobbler until I made this. Outstanding! The tapioca makes it not juicy and the crunch from the butter on top is amazing. So delicious and easy to make.
