- Apple: I like to peel and dice my apples into small chunks so they cook quicker and are easier to bite. Peeling is my preference, but not necessary.
- Brown Sugar: I used light, but dark or granulated would work also.
- Flour: I used all-purpose, but wheat or gluten free would work.
- Butter: Once melted, allow it to cool before combining.

Recipe Instructions
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 and butter or spray two ramekins with cooking spray.
Step 2: In a small bowl mix together diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Divide evenly between the two baking dishes.



Step 3: Using the same bowl mix together flour, brown sugar and salt. Add in melted butter and mix together until combined. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples.
Step 4: Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until lightly golden brown along the top. Allow to cool slightly before serving.



Expert Baking Tips
- I have made this using granny smith, envy and honey crisp apples. I really think you can't go wrong as long as it's one that you enjoy.
- You can add 2 tablespoon of oats or nuts to the crumb topping if you'd like.
- Top with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.

Storing & Freezing
This apple crumble for two can be stored in the fridge once cooled and covered with saran wrap for 3-4 days.
You can freeze these if you want to bake two, but only eat one and save the other. Just cover and freeze for up to 2 months. Allow to come to room temperature before eating.

- ¼ teaspoon (0.25 teaspoon) cinnamon
- sprinkle of nutmeg
Crumb Topping
- ¼ cup (35 g) all-purpose flour
- 3 tablespoon brown sugar
- pinch of salt
- 2 tablespoon melted butter cooled
- turbinado sugar for sprinkling on top
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350 and butter or spray two ramekins with cooking spray.
- In a small bowl mix together diced apples, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Divide evenly between the two baking dishes.
- Using the same bowl mix together flour, brown sugar and salt. Add in melted butter and mix together until combined. Sprinkle the crumb topping over the apples. Sprinkle a little turbinado sugar on the top if you've got it for a little added crunch.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until lightly golden brown along the top. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
