These chewy monster cookies are loaded with peanut butter, oats, m&m's and chocolate chips. The perfect cookie to make you feel like a kid again, and the best part is they are made without flour, so they're gluten free.
CHEWY MONSTER COOKIES
As a kid I loved anything that had m&m's in it. My Mom would put them in our rice krispie treats and cookies, and there's just something about the hard coating and the melty inside that always leaves me so satisfied. These cookies are the perfect chewy cookie with little bits of texture and crunch from the oats and chocolate, and they're so quick and easy to make. And the best part is anyone and everyone seems to love them!
INGREDIENTS NEEDED TO MAKE THESE COOKIES

HOW TO MAKE CHEWY MONSTER COOKIES

- Add eggs, one at a time, mixing in between. Then add vanilla, peanut butter, and baking soda and mix on medium speed until smooth.
- Stir in oats, m&m's and chocolate chips until well combined.
- Scoop dough using a medium to large cookie scoop, I like to use a 3 tablespoon size for these cookies.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, depending on size, or until a light golden brown around the edges and top.
SOME HELPFUL TIPS
- If you are needing these cookies to be Gluten Free, make sure that your oats are in fact gluten free because all of them are not.
- Allow your ingredients to be room temperature before beginning to mix.
- I have listed both chocolate chips and m&m's as ingredients. You are welcome to use all chocolate chips or all m&m's, or do a mix as I have suggested.
- These cookies are originally called "monster cookies" because of their size. I like to make them using a 3 tablespoon sized scoop with gives them a medium size, you are welcome to bake them larger or smaller. Just make sure that you watch the baking time and adjust accordingly.
- These cookies are best baked on parchment paper because that helps to keep them from spreading. A sil-pat would also work well if you have either.

Such a great cookie. Love that it is also gluten free for when I need to bake a treat for those that can’t have wheat.
Amy
I love these!!! I chilled them after and then crumbled on top of my protein shake! Such a yummy treat ❤️

That sounds amazing on top of a shake! Definitely going to try that next time I make them!
Sarah
We loved these!! Super simple to make and love that it’s an option to take somewhere if some people are gluten free. They stay good and chewy even after a couple of days!
Jessica
I made this cookie gluten free and dairy free- using dairy free butter/chocolate and they turned out SO good! Thanks for the recipe!
brooke
Thank you so much for leaving a comment so that others can know this also!!! Yay!
Ruth
Delicious! Made them with GF oats for my GF friends, who loved them. They were loved by the non GF friends too ❤️
Michael
These were so easy to make and turned out AMAZING! Don’t let the “gluten free” part scare you away because these don’t taste like a gluten free cookie. They have that perfect crispy outside and chewy/gooey inside. I had to hide these from myself because I put down half a dozen in one sitting!
Kylie
Wow these are addicting….!! Thank you for this delicious recipe!
brooke
Yay! Glad they hit the spot! Thank you.
Mari
Could you add cocoa powder to make them dark colored without altering the recipe too much? (Thinking about using the ghoul mix m&ms?)
brooke
I haven't tried that before, I think you could add a little without it affecting it much, but I'm not sure they'd turn out super dark. I've done these as is with the halloween mix before and they were still super cute and festive!
Debra
These were a big hit in my house! Soft, chewy, and just plain yummy.
