small batch cornbread


This small batch cornbread is perfect when you only have a few people to feed. It's a quick and easy to make recipe that is slightly sweet, with a tender crumb.


ingredients: -Butter -Buttermilk -Sugar -Egg -Baking Powder -Salt -Cornmeal -Flour 

STEP ONE: Melt butter and add the buttermilk and egg and mix.

STEP two: Whisk in baking powder, salt, flour and cornmeal.

STEP three: smooth batter into loaf pan or 4 muffin cups.

STEP four: bake at 375 for  18-22 minutes

STEP five: allow to cool slightly and then cut into rectangles.
