dirty chai spice
This dirty chai spice cake is a moist cake filled with chai spices and topped with an espresso buttercream swirled with caramel sauce.
STEP ONE: C
ream butter and sugars. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla and mix.
STEP two: s
ift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and nutmeg.
STEP three: m
ix in half flour mixture, buttermilk and remaining flour.
STEP four: b
ake cake at 325 for 30-35 minutes. Cool.
STEP five: M
ake buttercream. Mix together hot water and espresso powder. Beat butter, powdered sugar and cream. Add espresso.
STEP six: f
rost cake and then swirl caramel sauce into the top of it.
