dirty chai spice  cake


This dirty chai spice cake is a moist cake filled with chai spices and topped with an espresso buttercream swirled with caramel sauce.


ingredients: -Butter -Sugar -Brown Sugar -Eggs -Vanilla -Sour Cream -Baking Powder -Salt -Cinnamon -Cardamom -Ginger -Nutmeg -Flour  -Buttermilk -Powdered Sugar -Espresso Powder -Caramel Sauce

STEP ONE: Cream butter and sugars. Add eggs, sour cream and vanilla and mix.

STEP two: sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger and nutmeg.

STEP three: mix in half flour mixture, buttermilk and remaining flour.

STEP four: bake cake at 325 for 30-35 minutes. Cool.

STEP five: Make buttercream. Mix together hot water and espresso powder. Beat butter, powdered sugar and cream. Add espresso.

STEP six: frost cake and then swirl caramel sauce into the top of it.
