cinnamon rolls with apple pie filling
Pillowy cinnamon rolls with apple pie filling, and topped with a perfect vanilla buttercream frosting.
STEP ONE: M
ake the apple pie filling: Cook butter, apples, brown sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon & nutmeg.
STEP two: a
ctivate yeast in milk and sugar. Add eggs and butter and mix.
STEP three: A
dd salt and flour and knead for 3-5 minutes. Cover and set aside to rise.
STEP four: R
oll out dough, spread with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon and apple pie filling.
STEP five: r
oll up into a log and cut into 12 equal parts.
STEP six: P
lace rolls in a baking pan and allow to rise til doubled in size.
STEP seven: b
ake cinnamon rolls at 375 for 14-18 minutes.
STEP eight: M
ake vanilla frosting while rolls cool and then top with frosting.
