chocolate pecan pie bars


These chocolate pecan pie bars have a brown sugar shortbread crust, and are topped with a caramel, chocolate and pecan filling without any corn syrup.


ingredients: -Butter -Brown Sugar -Vanilla -Honey -Salt -Cream -Pecans -Flour  -Chocolate Chips

STEP ONE: Mix together butter and brown sugar, and add in salt and flour. 

STEP two: Press crust dough into a baking pan and bake for 12-14 minutes. 

STEP three: Cook butter, honey, cream, brown sugar and salt in a small saucepan until it boils.

STEP four: Remove from heat and add in vanilla, pecans and then chocolate chips.

STEP five: Pour pecan filling over crust and bake for  15-18 minutes. 

STEP six: Sprinkle with flaked salt, allow to cool and cut into squares to serve.
