black chocolate cake
This black chocolate cake is made using black cocoa powder. It's rich, moist and naturally deep in color from the cocoa powder, without dyes.
STEP ONE: W
hisk together flour, black cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, salt and both sugars.
STEP two: i
n another bowl whisk together oil, eggs, buttermilk and vanilla.
STEP three: M
ix dry ingredients into the wet ingredients.
STEP four: W
hisk in hot water or coffee and disperse into 3 cake pans.
STEP five: b
ake cakes at 325 for
25-30 minutes and then allow to cool.
STEP six: m
ix together butter, black cocoa powder, salt, vanilla, powdered sugar and milk until smooth and creamy.
STEP seven: F
rost in between layers of cake and a little coating along the top and sides. Chill for

rost the cake with another layer of black cocoa buttercream and top with black sprinkles.

op with ghost peeps, or other halloween candy for extra spooky fun!
